Learning Objectives: M&A Bootcamp
- Achieve a
comprehensive understanding of the mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”)
process, including the roles of various transaction participants and diligence
service providers. This knowledge will enhance participants’ capacity to
contribute value to deal teams by recognizing and articulating the typical steps
involved in the M&A process, including key due diligence workflow streams,
their significance, and their interconnections.
- Identify the primary constituencies involved in
M&A processes, understanding their respective roles, and discerning the
differences between roles on the buy side and sell side.
- Analyze how various investor types, stages of
investment, and sources of capital influence priorities in the M&A process
and due diligence activities.
- Cultivate essential business skills and habits that
create value (“HTCV”) and become a well-rounded deal professional capable of
effectively navigating tricky situations found in a variety of transaction
settings.
- Apply specific diligence frameworks to transaction
scenarios to enhance analytical capabilities and outcomes during M&A
transactions.
- Understand and analyze the perspectives of various
parties involved in M&A transactions. Participants will learn to think like
investors and recognize how viewpoints differ across investor types (e.g.,
strategic vs. private equity), investment stages (e.g., venture capital, growth
equity, recapitalizations, buyouts), and investment strategies (e.g., types of
businesses and investments typically pursued).

- Master the 20% of Excel functions that are used in 80% of typical M&A analyses.
- Navigate & manipulate worksheets confidently through essential Excel shortcuts, data cleaning techniques, and key functions.

Certificates
Participants will receive two certificates of completion upon passing the final assessment with a grade of 70% or more in each individual course.
